Gamma Alpha Update 2/20

Our Gamma Alpha Educational Fund, a 501(c)(3), continues to provide meaningful financial support to our undergraduate scholars. Our chapter’s scholarship fund is one of only a few such programs across
the entire national Greek community. Our chapter members can also apply to our National’s scholarship program — a double barreled resource for our scholars. Our awards criteria are the same as National’s.

Gamma Alpha Update 5/22

This is the seventh year of GAEF scholarship awards. This year’s awards totaled $27,000. This is the largest amount awarded to date, and an increase from last year’s $19,000. Six scholarships of $4,000 each were awarded to seniors Bridger Costello and
Alden Felstiner; juniors Walker Dechant and Jordan Brewer; and sophomores Harrison Teague and Anthony Giannini. Three $1,000 awards of merit were presented to juniors Jack Porter, Max Birch, and Andrew Slominski.

This is the sixth year of our scholarship grants, with the largest total amount awarded to date. Awards criteria remain in line with the National’s scholarship program, but our amounts are much larger. We award $19,000 total to ten individuals. Gamma Alpha Update 8/16

The Gamma-Alpha of Kappa Sigma Educational Foundation
is now officially established, following confirmation
from the IRS granting 501(c)(3) status in April 2016. Our Educational
Foundation is Gamma-Alpha’s alone, and is domiciled
separately from our National scholarship program. We understand
that our new Foundation is one-of-a-kind within Kappa Sigma.

Gamma Alpha Update 6/15

As mentioned in the July 2014 newsletter, your alumni
Building Corporation Board held two update meetings in May
2014 to discuss the success of the Gamma-Alpha Chapter
and associated developments. The meetings were held at the
Eugene Hilton and the Portland Multnomah Athletic Club.
Two invitations for each were mailed, as well as e-mail notices
where possible.
